Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico Magnum is a traditional, organically farmed Tuscan red wine from Italy's Chianti Classico region that beautifully captures the high-altitude terroir of Gaiole in Chianti by blending Sangiovese with native partners Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, and Colorino. On the nose, this characteristic Chianti Classico shows an expressive bouquet of bright red cherry, wild raspberry, and fresh red plum, seamlessly layered with notes of crushed violets, dried thyme, pipe tobacco leaf, white pepper, orange peel, and warm forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied, intensely savoury, and wonderfully linear, offering a refined texture with lush flavours of crunchy sour cherry, redcurrant, and dark forest berries supported by cocoa nibs, graphite, cedar wood, leather, fine-grained chalky tannins, and a mouth-watering acidity that keeps its structure focused and vibrant. The finish is exceptionally persistent, bone-dry, and highly refreshing, lingering on notes of red berry skins, light wood spice, and chalky mineral earthiness, making it a perfect pairing for roast lamb, wild boar ragu, aged pecorino cheese, or classic tomato-based pasta dishes.
