Rathfinny Blanc de Noirs
Description
Rathfinny Blanc de Noirs is an exquisite, sophisticated English sparkling wine from the South Downs in Sussex that beautifully captures the single-estate terroir of its Sussex PDO designation by blending deep fruit richness with a refined, traditional-method complexity. On the nose, this characteristic English sparkling wine shows a captivating bouquet of sweet Russet apples, wild strawberries, and red cherries, seamlessly layered with subtle notes of morello cherry, lifted citrus zest, and warm autolytic undertones of fresh brioche from extended lees aging. The palate is rounded, mouth-filling, and beautifully structured, offering a fine, persistent mousse with concentrated flavours of ripe summer fruits, creamy peach, and nectarine supported by a touch of warm spices, a rich texture, and a zesty, mouth-watering acidity. The finish is long, elegant, and highly rewarding, lingering on bright notes of sour plum, crisp citrus, and a signature saline minerality from chalk soils, making it a perfect pairing for rich dishes like roasted duck with cranberry sauce or a sophisticated charcuterie board.
