Chapoutier Cotes du Rhone Belleruche
Description
Chapoutier Cotes du Rhone Belleruche is a Grenache and Syrah-dominant Southern Rhone red wine that beautifully captures the juicy, sun-drenched fruit of the region by blending an un-oaked, highly expressive varietal clarity with vibrant spice. On the nose, this expressive Cotes du Rhone shows an intense bouquet of blackcurrant, wild raspberry, and fresh red plum, seamlessly layered with white pepper, dried garrigue herbs, liquorice, and subtle smoky undertones. The palate is supple, powerful, and beautifully balanced, offering flavours of crunchy black cherry, redcurrant pastilles, damson plum, and ripe blackberry compote supported by notes of savoury mocha, roasted coffee bean, and gentle anise spice, while silky, delicate tannins and a refreshing acidity keep it harmonious and focused. The finish is medium-to-long, dry, and mineral-edged, lingering on notes of red berry skins, black pepper, and clean stony earthiness, making it a perfect pairing for grilled red meats, roasted lamb chops, provencal stews, or aged hard cheeses.
