Brulieres de Beychevelle 2020
Description
Les Brulieres de Beychevelle is a refined, vibrant, and deeply concentrated red wine from France's Haut-Medoc appellation in Bordeaux that beautifully combines classic structure with elegant precision through its blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, this expressive Bordeaux red shows a captivating bouquet of crisp blackcurrant, dark raspberry, and fresh plum, seamlessly layered with notes of cedar chest, pencil lead, dried sage, and subtle liquorice. The palate is structured, harmonious, and beautifully balanced, offering flavours of bramble fruit, black cherry, and redcurrant pastilles alongside hints of damson plum, dark cocoa, crushed gravel, and gentle oak spice supported by fine, slightly firm tannins and a beautifully chiseled acidity that keeps its profile energetic and focused. The finish is long, dry, and elegant, lingering on notes of savoury berry skins, tobacco leaf, and clean stony minerality, making it a perfect pairing for roast lamb, grilled ribeye steak, venison, or aged hard cheeses.
