Spier 21 Gables Chenin Blanc is a full-bodied, rich, and highly complex South African white wine from Stellenbosch that beautifully showcases the incredible depth of old-vine fruit by blending rich varietal purity with a masterful, barrel-fermented elegance. On the nose, this characteristic Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc shows an expressive bouquet of ripe yellow apple, sun-ripened peach, and candied lemon peel, seamlessly layered with subtle notes of toasted almonds, vanilla pod, dried apricots, warm baking spice, and orange blossom. The palate is full-bodied, textured, and beautifully balanced, offering a luxurious, broad, and oily mouthfeel with lush flavours of poached pear, lemon curd, and juicy mango supported by a brilliant, crisp core of natural acidity, creamy butterscotch, light honey, and nutmeg. The finish is long, dry, and luxurious, lingering on notes of citrus zest, toasted oak, and clean mineral-tinged earthiness, making it a perfect pairing for roasted poultry, creamy seafood dishes, or mature cheeses.
