Chateau Figeac Grand Cru is a sublime, deeply expressive Saint-Emilion Bordeaux red wine that beautifully blends sophisticated Right Bank structure with a polished, monumental intensity. On the nose, this characteristic red wine reveals a huge, brooding bouquet of vibrant black cherries, cassis, and plum reduction, seamlessly layered with complex notes of graphite, incense, truffle, and a delicate floral touch of rose petals. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, complex, and alluring, offering a full, creamy mid-palate texture with intense flavours of blackberry, dark chocolate, and spice supported by a firm yet ripe tannic structure that provides incredible precision and focus. The finish is exceptionally long, fleet-footed, and precise, lingering on sophisticated earthy scents, mineral tones, and a touch of cocoa, making it a perfect food pairing for a roasted leg of lamb, prime rib, or Lievre a la royale.
