Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico Riserva Magnum is a traditional, organically farmed Tuscan red wine from Italy's Chianti Classico region that beautifully captures the high-altitude terroir of Gaiole in Chianti by blending Sangiovese with native partners Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, and Colorino. On the nose, this characteristic Chianti Classico Riserva shows an expressive bouquet of tart red cherry, wild raspberry, and fresh red plum, seamlessly layered with notes of crushed dried violets, pipe tobacco, forest floor, leather, white pepper, balsamic herbs, and dried orange peel. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, intensely savoury, and beautifully balanced, offering a structured texture with rich flavours of sour cherry, redcurrant, and dark forest berries supported by firm, chalky tannins and a lip-smacking Tuscan acidity that keeps its depth vibrant and focused. The finish is remarkably persistent, dry, and elegant, lingering on notes of red berry skins, warm wood spices, and limestone minerality, making it a perfect pairing for roasted wild boar, aged Pecorino cheese, Florentine steak, or rich tomato-based ragus.
