Chateau Les Hauts-Conseillants Lalande Pomerol Magnum is an opulent, beautifully refined Right Bank Bordeaux red wine from France's Lalande-de-Pomerol region that beautifully captures the rich terroir of its origin by blending Merlot with Cabernet Franc in a large-format magnum. On the nose, this characteristic Bordeaux red blend shows an intense bouquet of black cherry, ripe plum jam, and wild blackberry liqueur, seamlessly layered with notes of sweet vanilla bean, toasted cocoa, dried violets, warm wood smoke, tobacco leaf, and forest floor. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, plush, and wonderfully velvety, offering lush flavours of juicy blackcurrant, dark chocolate-covered raspberries, and sweet damson supported by fine-grained tannins, savoury liquorice, cedar wood, and a fresh limestone core with balanced acidity that keeps its depth energetic and focused. The finish is remarkably long, rich, and clean, lingering on notes of dark berry skins, warm baking spices, and clay-and-gravel minerality, making it a perfect pairing for roast lamb, grilled beef tenderloin, roasted duck breast, or aged hard cheeses.
