Les Brulières de Beychevelle 2020 is a Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend from the Haut-Médoc that combines the classic, deep concentration of a legendary Bordeaux trilogy vintage with a refined, vibrant precision: on the nose it shows crisp blackcurrant, dark raspberry, and fresh plum layered with cedar chest, pencil lead, dried sage, and subtle liquorice; the palate is structured yet harmonious, with flavours of bramble fruit, black cherry, and redcurrant pastilles supported by notes of dark cocoa, crushed gravel, and gentle oak spice, sometimes edging into riper hints of damson plum, while fine, slightly firm tannins and a beautifully chiseled acidity keep it energetic and focused; the finish is long, dry, and elegant, lingering on savoury berry skins, tobacco leaf, and a clean, stony minerality.
