Este Loureiro Vinho Verde is a classic, aromatic Portuguese white wine that combines the lively, lower-alcohol zippiness of the Minho region with a subtly textured, varietal purity: on the nose it shows bright green apple, fresh lime zest, and white peach layered with fragrant orange blossom, bay leaf, acacia, and a touch of light honey; the palate is crisp yet harmonious, with flavours of lemon sorbet, crunchy pear, and juicy white currant supported by notes of sweet spice, wet stone minerality, and a gentle, nutty bite, sometimes edging into a very delicate, playful spritz on the tip of the tongue, while a fine, chalky texture and a brilliant, mouth-watering acidity keep it vibrant and focused; the finish is long, dry, and clean, lingering on lime pith, toasted almond, and a refreshing, salty sea-breeze minerality.
