Blason d'Aussières Languedoc

Blason d'Aussières is a generously structured, fruit-forward French red wine from the Languedoc, crafted by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) to reflect the unique, sun-drenched terroir of the south of France: on the nose it shows ripe wild berries, blackcurrant, and blueberry compote layered with aromatic garrigue notes of thyme, rosemary, and subtle sweet spices; the palate is fleshy and well-balanced, with flavours of juicy raspberry, black cherry, and fresh blueberry supported by notes of mentholated vervain and Syrah-driven spiciness, while plump, fine-grained tannins and a supple structure keep it silky and elegant; the finish is long, persistent, and fresh, lingering on classic spicy black fruit, making it a perfect pairing for roasted leg of lamb, mushroom risotto, and mature Cheddar.
