This expression showcases an ambitious maturation journey, combining spirit aged in first-fill ex-Bourbon American White Oak barrels with finishes in six distinct French oak casks (Vosges, Jupilles, Les Bertranges, Tronçais, Allier, and Limousin): on the nose it shows bright ginger spice, sweet vanilla pod, and creamy milk chocolate layered with fresh peach, orange marmalade, aromatic coffee grounds, and a delicate hint of light oak smoke and dark honey; the palate is medium-bodied, velvety, and beautifully texturised, with flavours of caramelised sugar, dark plums, and candied citrus supported by notes of warm cinnamon, baked apple tart, toasted hazelnuts, and a complex wood spice, sometimes edging into riper hints of dried apricot and liquorice, while its intricately layered structure and a soft, warming depth keep it perfectly balanced and focused; the finish is long, smooth, and clean, lingering on warming oak tannins, sweet tobacco, and a refreshing hint of sea-spray minerality.
