Seifried Riesling

Seifried Estate Riesling is an intensely aromatic, beautifully balanced New Zealand white wine from the sun-drenched Nelson region that combines an energetic, electric citrus core with a touch of off-dry succulence: on the nose it shows striking lime zest, fresh granny smith apple, and juicy mandarin orange layered with fragrant white petals, fresh ginger, honeysuckle, and a classic, subtle hint of slate-like minerality; the palate is bright and intensely focused, with flavours of lemon sorbet, crisp green pear, and sun-ripened apricot supported by notes of light clover honey, key lime, and a delicate hints of petrol complexity, sometimes edging into riper hints of tropical passionfruit, while a gentle, residual fruit sweetness and a mouth-watering, laser-sharp acidity keep it perfectly balanced and vibrant; the finish is long, dry-edged, and remarkably clean, lingering on lime pith, crisp apple skins, and a refreshing, mineral-flecked zestiness.
